You may know what you want to make.
Maybe you have a sketch, a reference photo, or a rough idea. The harder part is knowing which manufacturer is actually a good fit.
Hi, I'm Jiahe.
If you have an idea for a product but don't know where to begin, I'd be happy to help you communicate with manufacturers in China and understand the process.
I grew up in China and now live in Canada. Over the past several years I've contacted many manufacturers, compared many quotations, arranged international shipping, and learned many lessons the hard way. I'd like to use that experience to help others avoid the same mistakes.
Why this website exists
Maybe you have a sketch, a reference photo, or a rough idea. The harder part is knowing which manufacturer is actually a good fit.
Some factories communicate clearly, understand custom work, and take details seriously. Others may not be suitable for your project, even if the price looks attractive.
I can help explain your idea, ask clearer questions, compare replies, and understand the details before you decide what to do next.
How it works
This isn't a commitment. It's simply a conversation. Sometimes that's enough to help you understand what comes next.
It doesn't need to be perfect.
I'll compare different manufacturers.
Pricing. Materials. Samples. Shipping. Timelines. Questions.
I'll keep helping throughout the process.
A simple start
Someone could simply send me a message like this:
"Hi Jiahe, I'd like to make a soft pet mat around 60 × 40 cm with my own design."
Honestly, that's already enough for me to understand where to begin. From there, we'll simply work through the details together.
Why I usually start in China
China has one of the world's most diverse manufacturing industries. Whether you're looking for acrylic products, pet accessories, metal fabrication, furniture, packaging or something completely different, there are usually many manufacturers that specialize in different areas.
That doesn't automatically mean every manufacturer is good. My job isn't to find the cheapest factory. My job is to help you understand the differences and choose one that's genuinely worth working with.

About me
I grew up in China before moving to Canada for university.
Because I speak both Chinese and English, I often found myself helping people communicate with manufacturers in China.
Long before this website existed, I was already contacting manufacturers for my own projects. Some experiences were excellent. Others were frustrating. Some manufacturers became long-term partners I still trust today. Others taught me expensive lessons.
Over time I realized something. Finding a manufacturer isn't actually the difficult part. Finding the right manufacturer is.
Since moving to Canada, I've continued buying products from Asia, comparing shipping companies, learning freight options, and figuring out better ways to move products internationally.
That experience gradually became part of what I offer here. I don't know every industry. And I don't pretend to. If I don't know something, I'll tell you honestly, research it carefully, and come back with the answer.
That experience eventually became Jiahe Makes.
I hope people remember me not for the quotations I found, but because, at one point, someone genuinely cared about helping them bring their idea to life.
Trusted manufacturers
I don't want to recommend manufacturers simply because they contacted me. Only manufacturers that both my customers and I would gladly work with again will appear here. No advertisements. No paid recommendations. Only trust earned through real projects.
Things I won't do.
Because the lowest price isn't always the best value.
If I wouldn't work with them myself, I won't recommend them.
If I don't know the answer, I'll tell you. Then I'll go find it.
Even if you decide not to move forward, I'm happy if our conversation helped.
FAQ
I cannot guarantee that any quote will be the absolute lowest price available. When appropriate, I can compare quotes from multiple manufacturers so we can look at pricing, minimum quantities, materials, production details, and communication quality together. If you have a target price or budget, please tell me before I begin.
I cannot guarantee the final quality before a product is made, but I will take reasonable steps to reduce risk. I look for manufacturers that communicate clearly, answer questions carefully, and confirm specifications. For most custom orders, I recommend starting with a sample before a larger production run. Depending on the project, I can also help arrange an inspection in China based on your checklist or standards.
Not always. Photos, sketches, examples, measurements, or a written explanation can be enough to begin the conversation. More detailed files can make quotes and production requirements more accurate.
Yes. I have communicated with several consolidation and international shipping services that offer sea freight, air freight, and express delivery. Each option has different strengths, limitations, costs, and delivery times. I can explain the options I find and help you compare them based on the product's size, weight, destination, timeline, and budget.
I will take time to understand the project and research what I do not already know. I may ask you additional questions or contact manufacturers for more information rather than pretending that I already understand everything.
Whether you already have a finished design or just an idea in your head, you're always welcome to reach out. There's no pressure to place an order. Sometimes one conversation is enough to save weeks of confusion.
